To my sister: Heart's delight 💕

However, please note that this post is personal and therefore many references may not be clear to people who are not familiar with those about whom the poem is written. The following poem I wrote for the occasion of the engagement of my cousin sister on 8th December 2023. 

Here is some context if you are interested: 

    So, imagine a family gathering where praise is as rare as a blue moon, and expressing love is like finding a needle in a haystack that is the true definition of Dharmadhikaris from Latur. Amid this stoic atmosphere, there's me, the mischievous cousin, armed with a pen and a heart full of admiration for my sister, Vaishanavi, aka Monu. Now, Monu isn't your average Joe. She's the kind of person who lights up a room just by being there, the girl who aced her way through JEE Mains in 2014 and left everyone in awe with her charm and intellect, especially us from the 2015 batch of Shahu College for whom she was just a nerdy topper. However, Monutai, as we fondly call her, is not at all a typical bookworm but a walking inspiration, a powerhouse of talent, and skills, and someone I've always looked up to. But in our family, pouring out emotions isn't exactly our forte. So, when Monutai found her match in the equally brilliant Dr. Saurabh, I knew I had to break the silence, even if just for a moment. Hence, the poem. On the day of their engagement, amidst the cheers and congratulations, I stood up, took a deep breath, and let the words flow, expressing not just my love for her, but also my respect for the incredible couple they make. But fear not, dear readers, for, after this one heartfelt moment, the teasing and leg-pulling resumed, as is customary for any obedient young brother. So, here's to Monutai and Saurabh, a duo destined for greatness, and to many more years of love, laughter, and relentless teasing from yours truly.

Heart's Delight...

In the heart of Luxembourg, where dreams ignite,

A tale unfolds, shimmering in love's pure light.

A brilliant engineer, my sister so dear,

Dances into forever, love whispers in her ear.

In the realm of circuits and codes, she soared high,

A tech-savvy queen, reaching for the sky.

With gadgets and gears, she waltzed through the day,

In the engineering world, she found her own way.

Her brilliance shines in the land of romance,

An engagement in Latur, a magical dance.

To a PhD holder, her heart intertwined,

A love story written, uniquely designed.

Oh, the engineer and the scholar, a match so divine,

In the union of hearts, they both brightly shine.

She, a maestro of many a tech symphony,

He, a scholar crafting a love epiphany.

Their love story echoes through the hills,

A melody composed with passion that thrills.

In the corridors of knowledge, they wrote their songs,

Bharatnatyam of hers, is where his guitar belongs.

When the sky is aligned with stars binary,

Content with joy Saurabh and Vaishanavi.

Hand in hand, through algorithms of life,

They script their adventures, to be husband and wife.

So, here's to my sister, with talents so vast,

A multifaceted gem, in love "at last."

To Luxembourg's embrace, where her dreams take flight,
